Seriously $19.99 is not FREE!

I am thinking of going Paleo and am looking for free recipes... Or at least a free trial of a good software that could help me. The very first thing this app asks for is 20 bucks to read anything! How is that free? I have downloaded multiple apps and didnt find any of them useful so I would hate to pay for a crappy app... This is just trickery.... Bad bad bad
